The Economics group meets at 10am on the first Wednesday of each month. We started in January 2020 and summaries of each month’s meetings can be viewed in the sidebar.
We started by looking at a number of key opinion leaders in the field before examining specific topics ranging from Interest Rates to Inflation. All the sessions are researched by one of the members which seems to work well despite no significant prior knowledge of the subjects.

When face to face meetings are allowed we expect to revert to using the Halberton Village Hall
In terms of experience we are a diverse bunch with some using a camera for the first time & others arriving with a 35 mm background.
We have recently expanded the range of equipment allowed to include compact cameras, video, DSLR & phones – basically any image capturing device.
Some prefer video work, others like still images, sometimes shown as a slideshow with or without music.
At our meetings we look & comment on the photos taken the previous month & when appropriate try to help each other with any composition & technical issues.
Important Notice
As the group meets in people’s houses, numbers are limited and the group is now full but if you are interested please let the coordinator know and when spaces are available they will let you know.
Time: Our group meets in the morning of the second Thursday of the month, the usual time being 10.00am – 12pm noon(-ish).
Location: We wish to keep the group as informal as possible and we meet either in a member’s house or go out & about taking photographs.
